Welcome to the page all about me. My name is Amir & I consider Hockey to be my religion!

This page is about me. My name is Amir and this is my website. I consider hockey to be my religion! Why do I consider hockey to be my religion? Because the sport of hockey is absolutely amazing! It's the best sport in the world! I have been a diehard passionate hockey fan since I was 7 years old. I created this website so people can find out more about the wonderful sport of hockey regardless if they are a beginner to the sport or a lifelong fan.

I came to the United States in 1989 from Iran with my family. We resided in Livonia, Michigan and that is where I fell in love with hockey. I learned a lot about how to speak English by watching hockey games on TV.

Although I enjoyed other sports such as basketball, football, and baseball, hockey has and will always be my favorite sport!

As you can probably guess I am a diehard lifelong Detroit Red Wings fan. They have been my team since I was 7 and will be until the day I die, regardless of how good or bad they play.

The picture above is me attending Game 7 of the 2009 Stanley Cup Final. In hockey, Game 7 is the ultimate experience, and when it is Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals, then it is an experience unlike anything else in sports. As everyone knows now, my beloved Red Wings lost 2-1 and the Stanley Cup at home to the Penguins. I was completely devastated that night! It was probably one of worst days of my life.

Even though I have been very lucky that my Red Wings have been a top team in the NHL since I was 7 and have won 4 Stanley Cups, I don't think I will ever get over the Game 7 lost at home in the 2009 Finals.

This website will serve two purposes.

One is that it will provide information about the sport of hockey, in terms of history, teams, leagues, and best hockey moments and so on.

Second, it will be a site where I will post my opinions about what I think are some of the current issues facing the sport of hockey, as well as what I think are some of the greatest moments, players, and teams in hockey history.

The best teams, players, coaches, games, etc.

Even though I am a Red Wings fan, my opinions will be fair and unbiased. I welcome you to post your comments about anything you want on this site and whether or not you agree with my opinions. I always open to a healthy debate about the hockey.

I hope you enjoyed learning a little about me and who I am. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by clicking here. I hope you enjoyed learning a little about me. Thank you for visiting my site and I hope you visit often and interact with me.

Sincerely,

Amir
